Now where does our story stand? We are on the road to the underworld. Instead of being wed to Haemon, Antigone will be wed to death itself. Who will be our Antigone, walking the last road, bound? And who will be Creon, proclaiming Antigone's fate, commanding that she be entombed alive in a cave outside the city walls, where she will eventually starve and suffocate? How will Antigone reflect on the events that have brought this tragedy to pass?
