Justice comes from morals? traditional code of ethics? family values?
personal intuition from experience?

Is justice the same as fairness, what is wrong, or what is bad?

Ways we use the word: a Surpeme Court Justice; the Scales of Justice; Blind Justice.

We struggled with the idea that what is legal may not be what is just.
We tried to define then what a "higher sense of justice" may be.
When we say that a law is unjust, how do we know?
Do we share an common, higher sense of what is just?

We also struggled with a conception of justice as a balance or equation.

Scenes:
(1) gay person wanting to get married and someone opposed (A + G)
(2) discriminatory country club owner and a black golfer (Si + C)
(3) mother of murdered child and an anti-death-penalty activist (Sh + K)
