Meg Butler is a 5th Year Ph.D. Candidate in Classical Archaeology at Stanford University. She received her BA in Classics (Classical Archaeology) from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Her interests include burials, the symposium as social institution, regional state formation, "crossroads" communities, and the history and archaeology of ancient Macedon and Thrace
Her dissertation is titled: "Of Swords and Strigils: Burial Assemblages and Social Change in Ancient Macedon"
