Back to Jewels | Daily Journal | More on Earrings
Facts about me: I'm a senior from San Francisco majoring in International relations & graduating way too soon for it to be okay (this quarter). I would like to say I was absolutely sure I knew what I'm doing when I graduate (which is technically when I'm done writing this), but I'm not, so I won't. Another relevant fact is that my mother and I have been designing jewelry ever since I can remember. The specific earrings that I talk about on Day 1 are actually my mother's design. They are very standard, but she found the stones and had them set, so for all intents and purposes, they are her design.

Finals thoughts on Jewels: I really enjoyed working on this project with Kome. It was interesting to spend so much time devoted to looking at something that plays a large part in both our lives, especially from an academic perspective. All in all, I feel like this class was a very appropriate way to end my 4 yrs at Stanford. It's easy to get caught up in the theories of academia, and forget about the little things which clearly play a critical role in our daily lives. It was nice to see those two parts finally come together.
