Admin: I have posted the first full piece of commentary on the WLS project, over on my blog at Spoilheap.com. You can find it at this permalink. As this blog uses Wordpress, I'm hoping that the anti-SPAM tools will allow me to moderate SPAM more successfully than in this forum.
Future posts will all be tagged "Where London Stood."

David Platt: Friends, I'm afraid that I'm locking these pages, as of today. The frequency of Spam attacks has been increasing over the last few weeks, and this makes maintaining the projects pages a chore. Each link that a Spammer inserts into his/her text creates a new page in this project. Deleting each page isn't too much of a problem, but the typical spam post seems to include around 50 links. I am extremely disappointed that I've had to take this action and I hope that you'll all understand.
I do still like hearing from people, and you can still send comments via email (see the link in my name at the start of this post). If you would like, I can add any comments that you'd like to post to the WLS wiki.
I completed my PhD in Classics (Stanford's archaeology track), at the very end of May 2008. Consequently, I am now able to devote more time to WLS. Inevitably, this will include a good deal of wiki maintenance--just as soon as the SPAM Bots find the pages again. But, if I'm not going to allow comments in the wiki, there isn't really much point in using one is there, eh?
PS. I owe you an email, Ray.
The (non-existent) prize for my first spammer since re-opening goes to ... (drum roll) ... Kkdhc0 (Posted at Apr 30/2009 11:38AM).
What was that? Five days?
In the meantime, I'm reduced to zapping the bot's posts as soon as I get a notification. :-/
Sorry, folks. :-/

Admin: I've heard back from Justin.tv and it should be OK to reopen the pages to posts again. So I am doing.
Thanks for your patience.
