Karen Oeh received her M.A Degree in Anthropology from CSU, Chico with an emphasis in bioarchaeology and forensic anthropology. While an undergraduate student at SJSU, Karen learned the technique of three-dimensional facial reconstruction for her honor's thesis. Since 1991, she has worked as a forensic artist to reconstruct the faces of prehistoric Native America skulls. She is a career advisor and adjunct instructor in archaeology and cultural anthropology at Foothill College in Los Altos Hills, California - and - the Director of Archaeology for Global Awareness, a Bay Area non-profit organization (http://www.arch4globalawareness.org). In May and June 2004, Karen traveled throughout Iran to photograph and interview local residents. Her exhibition, entitled Faces of Iran, is currently on display at the Krause Center for Innovation.
