Rochelle Davis earned her Ph.D. from the University of Michigan in Near Eastern Studies and Cultural
Anthropology in 2002. Before that, she received her Master's degree in Modern Arabic Literature from
University of Michigan and her BA from University of California, Davis in Art
History. She is currently a Teaching Fellow in the Introduction to the Humanities
Program at Stanford University. Her research interests include memory and
history, Palestinian life before 1948, and modern Arabic travel literature.
