The Archaeology Center's Brown Bag Series
Autumn Quarter 2006
The purpose of Stanford Archaeological Theory is to build an intellectual community among the archaeology graduate students of Stanford University by establishing an open environment where we can learn from each other. We meet to read, discuss and debate relevant texts and help each other understand and use theory in archaeology. We will examine a broad range of topics extending beyond archaeology that embraces all theoretical perspectives. This is also a venue for graduate students to present their works-in-progress for critical feedback. We also are fortunate to get outside speakers who pre-circulate papers for discussion.
This is intended as an open forum and all suggestions are welcome. Everyone is encouraged to attend. Lunch will always be provided so please come along for the meal and join the conversation.
