I'm a graduate student in Classics, with a particular (and peculiar) interest in ancient science. I'm enjoying the long-view perspective on the history of our relationship with technology that we're getting in this class.

Recently I moved to Mountain View and so I bought a lawn mower to take care of my new piece of suburbia. This got me thinking a lot about the culture involved with lawns and tending them, so I think I'll do my project on the lawn mower.
