Tragedy

The starting point is the reasonable assumption of the contemporary impossibility of an authentic foundation of the tragedy.

Nevertheless the way the tragedy has of presenting to the audience a dramatic node still remains the unsurpassed model for any intimate human representation.

At the same time we feel, within the core of the Attic tragedy, the very structure of those sensations that reveal how the human condition has something which does not belong to this world, to this reality.

Our time and our lives are completely detached from any tragic concept. Redemption, pathos and ethos are words that cannot be reached, having fallen down to the coldest of abstractions. The theatre of respect, now, is a theatre that makes you cry.

In conclusion the tragedy ought to be regarded as the only worthy opponent one should have. I would like to add that we need to be brave enough to look at the real face of tragedy. Because I still do not know what it is.

I see the reflex of gold as a revenge over time and space.

I see gold as the representative of the world of Conception which conquers the finite world of destiny.

-Romeo Castellucci, Tragedia Endogonidia, C. #01
