[chris witmore]: Hi Gabe, nice introduction. You have a good explanation of how the phonograph works. I like that you includes a timeline and have a sensitivity to comparison with other tech. Navigation between pages could be better integrated. Also in text citation would have been helpful for linking some details to the proper sources. I like your section on the impact of the recording tech of the phonograph upon music duration times. Though, as you point out Gabe, there were also other factors involved. Still I felt more time could have been spent on the actual thing. A great deal of the comparative work could have drawn upon good case studies. There is a dead link to [the future] under The Phonograph's Influence on Music and Musicians. While imagery is always a plus, I would have loved to listen to a couple of sound files from a phonograph. Also since you mention it so many times it would have been great to link to the iPod project. While it would have been even better to pull in more issues and questions from lecture, this was a good project overall. Nice job!
