memory

Memory and site: Eisenman writes that site is a function of absence, which he sees as the trace of a previous presence, therefore it contains memory as well as immanence, the trace of a possible presence (Eisenman, P. Moving Arrows,Eros and other Errors: An Architecture of Absence, London: Architectural Association, 1986, pp 4-5 ).
